With 17 miles of shoreline and 4,600 acres round Mission Bay Park, San Diego offers a wide variety of beaches and amenities. From neighborhoods and parks to streets and parking, find what you want in your neighborhood and report your concerns.

Check on the entrance station or customer middle earlier than entering the ocean and the tide pool areas. PICNIC AREA is situated off the primary parking zone in a eucalyptus and pine bushes grove. Tables, barbecues, water taps and restroom amenities are available.

There are fireplace rings, picnic tables, and pit toilets available. All of the walk in campsites are within 1/4 mile from the parking zone and there’s no working water. This is the only state park campground positioned near the Russian River. The sites are principally shaded by willows and are comparatively close to a big beach for swimming and fishing.

Blue heron, egrets, osprey, and infrequently river otters could be seen by the river. To defend the wildlife, no dogs are allowed.These websites are not on the reservation system and are first-come, first-served solely. Camping outdoors of those designated campsites could lead to a citation and ejection from the campground.

Willow Creek Campground is a dry campground which means there isn’t any water available. The Sonoma Coast is comprised of several beaches separated by rock bluffs and headlands.

The Salmon Creek Ranger Station is situated on Highway 1 midway between the South Salmon beach car parking zone off of Bean Avenue and the North Salmon Beach car parking zone. Long sandy beaches under rugged headlands, a craggy coastline with pure arches and secluded coves are options that make Sonoma Coast State Park certainly one of California’s most scenic points of interest.

Hazardous rip currents and large waves can appear out of nowhere and sweep people out to sea. Do not run on the moist rocks of the intertidal space, and by no means flip your back to the waves.

Several beaches are located between Jenner and Bodega Bay on Highway 1. The Salmon Creek Ranger Station situated halfway between the South Salmon beach parking zone and the North Salmon beach parking lot off of Highway 1.

Sonoma Coast SP spans 17 miles from Bodega Head to Vista Trail which is positioned approximately four miles north of Jenner. Beachcombers, fishermen, sunbathers and picnickers can access the beach from greater than a dozen points along coast Highway 1.
